Diggin' it.

I was waiting for Yuuki to put his grillz back in. Yaaasss.

Same here. Dude stood in front of me during an instore and he's 178cm at best. Which is considered tall for a Japanese, so of course others will acknowledge his height. Especially with his hair styled up and all... the Koichi-stuff Koichi has in his hair...

Are they signed to SPEED DISK now or are they only releasing these two CDs through them?

Sometimes I feel like the only person who likes Yuuki's voice. Yes, even I can tell it's unfinished, he can't exactly 'sing', but I love the rawness to it and the special color his voice has. I never liked generic VK-voices and while I wouldn't listen to Yuuki singing three days in a row, he's always been one I loved to listen to. I think the issue is that people are so used to Unsraw or expecting a second Unsraw, that no one is willing to give anything else a true chance and everything about it which isn't Unsraw-ish gets picked out – and on. Though in this case the guitars don't fit and at the point of guitar vs vocals, the vocals lost because they were the weaker part. So far no one complained about kicking out Satoshi and finding a guitarist to suit Yuuki. And neither am I, God beware. When the song up there started playing it felt 100% D.I.D. to me and mind you, I'm a big D.I.D. fan. I expected Akane to start singing anytime yet my hype kicked in the moment Yuuki started and didn't attempt Akane's screeches and joined in with his kind of voice – because it's new and I actually thought it was great. Yuuki will never hit every note and ace it, but I loved the dualism of the guitars and the raspy voice here. Because it's NOT D.I.D./Para:noir. I feel like this is an issue similar to back then, when Metal mixed with Dubstep became a thing and everyone was throwing a tantrum how this is never supposed to mix at all, while I absolutely loved it. To each their own – but I'm absolutely in for this.

Okay, I know DOAK get a lot of hate, but this sounds reaaaaally good imo.

Considering two members got PTP tribute tattoos and Pablo of PTP worked on this single together with the band before they had to go on break due to Akane's hospitalisation... Nah.

I think all of my favorite lyrics are written by Otogi from Awoi (アヲイ). The lyrics are deep, dark, desperate and real. He creates amazing sceneries and mental images and there are a lot of plays on words, too. Akane also writes some interesting lyrics. He strikes me as one to do a lot of research and make a lot of hints, for example biblical references or the soul weighing 21 grams. I like stuff like that.

I know Masa and Hiro from Nocturnal Bloodlust are both fluent in English. Years ago, I was at a NB instore and they started talking English to me right away. I expected it from Hiro, since he was in Seattle and all, but Masa genuinely surprised me. He had no typical Japanese accent whatsoever and was speaking freely, seemingly having fun at it, too. Also, Aki from Sadie used to translate his own blog, always posting in Japanese and English. When asked, he said he went to an elite school and learned English there. Also, defspiral all seem to be fluent in Thai. That, or they use a Translator, but they had a couple of events in Thailand and have been tweeting and thanking fans in Thai for years now.

I think Pay money To my Pain is a damn good band name. Back then, it left such an impression that I went to check out their music and buy their stuff just because their name sounded so cool and intrigued me. I think MORRIGAN, Para:noir, KYOKUTOU GIRLFRIEND, EAT YOU ALIVE, kannivalism, amber gris – are cool names, too. Not starting with the stupid ones because this list is endless and many noteworthy ones have been mentioned already. In general I laugh about any names [LiKe;thi'S] – The 90's called, they want their special characters back. - Honorable mention for Western bands: I love both Nine Inch Nails and How To Destroy Angels as band names.

Nope, no need to worry. This says they'll perform in new costumes soon. Which is why you can get a DVD of their shooting with the old ones at a live. They did update their OHP look, but despite different hair-do and all, the costumes were the same. So... rather something to look forward to!

They keep announcing lives, there's one for April, too. I wonder if they already found a new guitarist and when they will announce him or her. Probably after the 22nd, Tohma's last live?
-
I'm so glad Yuuki dropped the generic-glitter kei look and looks like himself again.
-
I really hope he will return, even though it doesn't sound like that. Maybe he needs some time off, travel, explore, get a new job – whatever it is, the band is holding him back. And whenever he found that happiness, maybe he'll realize that playing in the band next to his other plans is still possible. Or so I'm telling myself. I wonder if D.I.D. will still exist, if he ever decides to come back. Tohma is an amazing guitarist and a very lovely person, so he will be missed.

fuck no. Excuse my language.

is this your flashlight or Aryu just happy to see me? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I can't stop looking at his teeth. I missed the rest of the PV. I bet their concerts are fun!

> Try this!

I highly doubt this will be anything like アヲイ, but I'm gonna keep an eye on this. Though I own CDs of 空【ku:】and I always thought they were unbearable because of the crappy vocals. ....But the guy had years to improve so they might actually be on to something. Let's wait and see. Booh, Otogi come back...

Okay but it's already August and there's still no release date for their album, right? What exactly is their definition of summer? I'm waaaiiiiting!
-
Just a heads up, it's available worldwide now! Just bought it without any complications.

Pretty sure Akane said he was not going to sing December 24 anymore for personal reasons. Super hyped about all those annoucements. They could have filmed a MV in a dark room or on Mars and I still would have freaked out becaaause D.I.D. are finally back! I will definitely download the iTunes songs, to support them. They complained about the illegal downloading and found a fair way for people to get their hands on the songs. I may not be a fan of digital releases, I love collecting CDs, but if it means supporting the band, I will gladly do it!

Actually, not really convinced yet. Sounds pretty upbeat to me, I wish they would go back to heavier stuff and Hazuki singing less... 'nasal'? It sounds generic, neither really bad nor good. But thumbs up for a D.I.D. tribute in there, haha!

I feel like Sherlock Holmes right now. Curious what they'll sound like! (Probably like Xibalba, no shit.)

If this is an April Fool's joke, I'm gonna flip a bitch.
