Rude. Their last album has great songs on it as well. Although, everything after Sing the Sorrow has been a "love three songs, ignore the rest of the album" deal for me. Wuuuuuuuuuuuuuut. Pretty much when they signed to Dreamworks they went downhill.

Seattle Grunge Scene - I really didn't think for myself when it came to music when I was younger. I was just interested in whatever my peers where into and while I was young during the grunge explosion here in Seattle, it was pretty much the cool thing everyone was into. It pretty much set me up for being a rock'n roll kid 4 lyfe. The Offspring/AFI - Aside from the typical NW grunge bands that where on all the radio stations I was pretty into The Offspring for awhile. Up till their Americana album. Believe it or not AFI use to actually make good music when they where on Nitro records. The Offspring did a cover of one of AFI's songs (Total Immortal) which made me start listening to the band. Usually I associate the two together since for awhile that was what I exclusively listened too. These bands kind of kept me safe from the big Nu-Metal craze but I did have a brief affair with Nu-Metal. Blind Guardian - My best friend bought Somewhere Far Beyond on a whim, we saw a picture of the band on the back and thought they looked pretty tough and plus the cover looked cool. I remember us leaving the mall and popping this album in the CD player in the car, is the first song on the CD. It starts off with a nice little acoustic opening, pretty calm and melodic. However having no idea what style this band played we where caught off when the guitars kicked in and ended up head banging the fuck out to this awesome song. Blind Guardian steered me right into European metal and all was good. For Japanese music ~ Malice Mizer - At first I hated them, keep in mind that at the time I only listened to heavy music like metal and some punk bands. So when my friends showed me a fruity MM video with Gackt and Mana pracing around like douche bags (Au revoir) and telling me that was Japanese metal. I laughed in their face, thinking Japanese metal was just super gay pop crap. So for about a year I didn't listen to anything from Japan because I thought it was all animu themes and pop rock. Then I saw the Bara no Seidou VHS AND THAT SHIT BLEW MY MIND. Curious about the band I Googled them which led to MP3 rotation sites (Anyone remember those LOL!?) Aliene Ma'riage & Noir Fleurir - Because of Bara no Seidou mind fucking me, I ended up Googling for MP3s and used to follow MP3 rotation sites before getting into torrents and Soul Seek. I ended up with a lot of crap but specifically two special songs would be Gyaku~norowareta orugoru no naka de~ from Aliene and Rasen no shinshou fuukei from Noir Fleurir. These I clearly remember as my first song from these guys, almost instant favourites and still my favourites from these two bands. These where my gateway bands that led me into the train wreck known as Kotekote kei.

I think SEX MACHINEGUNS would count. I know Seikima II wouldn't though. They even stated in a press interview(at A-KON in Dallas, it was shown on their latest DVD) that they were not a VK band. I personally don't consider Seikima II or AION visual kei either, I don't think I've ever seen the two bands in a Visual magazine. Also Munimuni and emmuree play some weird as hell gawffy sounding music, not the usual gawffy nonsense you hear from most Visual bands. There's also that band SaTaN but I think they're awful but people seem to like them.

Well if I'm taller then the guy then any sort of attractiveness goes out the window.

J did the oppisite of most people. The older he became the better looking he got because in their early days being all dressed up and 90s-ish he looked bad hyuk hyuk hyuk.
-
Would SEX MACHINEGUNS count? I personally don't consider them Visual Kei, more like just obnoxious hair metal buuuuuut they're in VK magazines and promoted and liked by (Western) VK fans soooooooooooooooooooo.....yeah. AION and Seikima II are two others that also comes to mind.

LOL my list was actually much longer but instead of listing a bunch of white people bands no1curs about. I left only the most awesome of the awesome long songs from my already awesome list to post. Keeper of the Seven Keys had made my original awesome list but I decided to cut it to not make my list so stupidly long. Otherwise, for example I would of listed pretty much all of Wintersun's only album LOL!

The Gazette - Stacked Rubbish Korn - I don't remember which one but come on it's Korn Limp Biscuit - Same as above, I don't remember the album name. BUT come on, I was in the 6th grade ha! Slipknot - I don't remember the name but again, back when I was dumb as hell. That's honestly about it.
-
That is my absolute biggest pet peeve when it comes to music. Any sort of obnoxious filler in the middle of a song I just don't like at all. Especially if it starts up sounding like a completely different song. Then I just wish they broke it up into two different songs.

Long songs are a mix bag for me. Some do it great and those are ones I consider I can listen to from beginning to end without day dreaming. Others could shave a minute or two off because it seems like a lame attempt at trying to be long and 'epic'. Eh, it just depends. I ain't counting songs from movie soundtracks since many of those are pretty long but they're different from just an actual long song. Arkona - Marena (7:22) Arkona - Po syroj zemle (7:40) Symphony X - The Odyssey (24:10) Helloween - The King For A 1000 Years (13:55) Helloween - Halloween (13:18) Death - Flesh and the Power It Holds (8:26) The Protomen - Sons of Fate (8:13) Wintersun - Star Child (7:55) Wintersun - Battle Against Time (7:03) Morbid Saint - Assassin (7:03) Cradle of Filth - Amor E Morte (7:15) Blind Guardian - Majesty (7:33) Týr - Eric the Red (7:42) Iron Maiden - Fear of the Dark (live) (8:04) Kamelot - Momento Mori (8:54) NeiL - DEEP ETERNAL (Moar "Deep" Version) (7:53) Versailles - Princess (8:25) AFTER IMAGE - 黒????晶 (8:05) Only three Japanese songs ~ I guess I have no love for long Japanese songs 3

Leaves thread. =3 Actually even though I have a 160Gb player and I listen to tons of music the only things that I must have and never delete are my Do As Infinity and Alice Nine discographies. Everything else changes or would change if I didn't have the room to accommodate. lulz, I just didn't want a repeat of what this thread was going to turn into.

I know some of you have 100 gig or more MP3 players so you get outta here! ha! Just kidding i luv u <3 Just be reasonable and not list like 800 bands. Anyway, the most space I've had on mine is 16 gigs and is actually what I use now. There's some artists that I just never delete from mine because I always will go back and listen to them. So what are some artists you can never ever ever delete from your portable music device or at least ones you've kept for months! For me ~ Kuroageha vellaDonna Wintersun Bear McCreary Arkona
