Juka? The Lindsay Lohan of VK? Just without all the drugs.

Well I guess it's time to think about what kinda memorial shit they're going to sell. I hope they have cool early UCP swag. Even though I own a lot of that stuff already, maybe there will be some live footage or that Sugar FolkFull PV released.

Fuck yeah Teru, excited to hear his songs. I've loved every song he has composed for the band.

I thought Seth from Moi dix Mois was pretty short, even in his giant platform boots. I'm like, SHIT SON! I could beat him up.

I like Dir en grey and all eras of the band. I can listen to Cage and Dream Box and enjoy both equally, though early Dir en grey has some nostalgia bias. I really liked their latest album and hope they continue in this direction of atmospheric metal or whatever it is because it's rad. Dir en grey has also only ever had one bad album (Marrow of the Bone) but it wasn't exactly terrible. Just not up to par with their usual strong releases but they made up for it. The Gazette have a stupid name, I mean the GazettE, that's just stupid. I just never liked their music, their indie stuff is pretty bland and their modern stuff is just catchy faux metal hard rock. I do like Filth in the Beauty and even bought Stacked Rubbish thinking with such a good single the album would be good. Nope, it was a huge waste of money and a waste of my time. Gazette has one catchy song to draw in the masses then the rest is just filler crap.

I like Versailles because I like metal. I wasn't a fan of Lareine because it's a totally different style of music I don't enjoy. I also don't like Kamijo's voice or his song writing.

Well when I say Nega and Megaromania being picked up by another label, I didn't mean a major label. Just another one of those indie VK labels. PSC Indie I don't really see it, maybe Nega because we all saw what they can do as Perestroika which can fit the mold that PSC likes. I don't know about Megaromania joining indie PSC but you never know. Indeed, the label just didn't have that strong of a line up after Phantasmagoria tanked. He tried really hard to make Chariots successful, not sure what the fan support was like in Japan for Chariots but it was obviously with Western fans it wasn't the same like Phantasmagoria. Dear Dolce I think was just poorly managed by someone inexperienced. I think what happened to Dear Dolce is a little different than Undercode closing. Yeah there was probably some bad managing of funds on KISAKI's part but Dear Dolce barely lasted a year.

I'm under the impression that the smaller bands might crumble without UNDERCODE's funding. Cube, Suzaku, Cindy Kate etc. Megaromania and Nega might be able to stay afloat on their own without backing from the label and perhaps they'll be picked up by another. Not sure what's going to happen to Lin, is he going to use the remaining money to fund Lin or will they move to another label? Is he going to put Lin on hiatus? It's pretty unfortunate but what was the cause, has there been an explanation? I'm guessing it might not be revealed but can anyone speculate? Lets not be total retards and say EL OH EL TAX EVASION. How about use your brain and have a nice discussion. Was it bankruptcy? The label was being pretty ridiculous, with stuff like buy all four copies from the shop and receive a special five minute long DVD! KISAKI would also start new projects like the Underground Music MP3 store but quickly gave that up before it even had a chance. The label continuously funded bands that weren't doing well in Japan (Arc, Em~Grief) and I am also told that the attendance at lives have diminished over the last year. Perhaps the bands just weren't appealing to the current generation of fans.

STOP DRINKING THAT PISS WATER! POUR IT DOWN THE DRAIN! I pretty much only drink beer (BUT BEER MAKES YOU FAT) but I avoid PBR, Miller, Bud Light, Key Stone etc. Ugh, that stuff is garbage. The reason I hate it all so much is because when I was first introduced to beer people only gave me PBR and some other shit brand. The stuff taste awful! I sorta stuck to hard ciders and Bloody Mary drinks until someone bought me a really good micro brew and my MIND WAS BLOWN. I didn't know beer could actually taste good! In any case, I don't have a brand preference. I just mostly know the ones I hate and stay away from them. Two brands I do enjoy is Elysian and New Belgium most others are usually local brewed stuff and I'm not sure if some of these you can even get outside the bar they're crafted in. For example the comic club I am in meets every week at a local bar that brews its own beers. They have some good stuff! As for actual liquor, generally I just go with easy drinks like gin and tonic or a screwdriver. I'd suggest fruity beers, I like New Belgium because they have some awesome fruity drinks. That stuff can be dangerous though, it's like. OH THIS IS GOOD and suddenly you've had eight drinks and can't walk anymore. For mix drinks, I actually don't do hard liquor that much however if you get a good smooth liquor it'll make a huge difference. Are there any Speakeasy bars near you? The Speakeasy bars in Seattle are great and you'll always walk out very satisfied. It's a place you go to enjoy the drink and not to get shit faced, they will also work with you if you aren't sure what you want. They'll be more than happy to create a drink just for you. A bit on the pricer side but if you can find similar places near you, I'd check it out. It's a good way to experiment and try new liquors and see if there's something you like.

I pretty much agree with just this only. It's marketed towards the same audience, but one slight difference is Visual Kei is still more or less unknown. So it lets people feel like they're being unique not caught up in big mainstream artists. It also just appeals to the alternate rock sub culture because while some stuff is just catchy pop rock tunes. There's still some pseudo deep, heavy stuff. I wouldn't say K-Pop is for older people, it's just a more accessible mainstream style that will appeal to more people because they are playing familiar music and ermagerd dah boys. The people that did the infamous shift from completely removing VK from their life and attaching themselves to K-Pop are morons though. I also say good riddance because these people were probably obnoxious, I mean some of these people are still obnoxious. Hanging around making sure everyone knows they don't like Japanese music and only K-pop. I don't see that here on MH but it pops up in the old Livejournal communities.

Nice, I was a heavy SLSK user back in 2005, so I'll hop on for nostalgia sake. I don't have much to share but I'll be there to chat it up with folks.
-
I wonder without Undercode's influence will VK just turn into host boys holding instruments? It's already about halfway there.

The name of the castle slips my mind at the moment but I think it's something Hart. It's from Scotland I believe but again could be wrong. Details are fuzzy. Every band has had something filmed there. Just check the thread in the Toasted Waffles.

YOU WILL NEVER KNOW HOW I FEEL! NO NO NO NO STUPID! Yeah, the Yohio glamour shots are all really embarrassing. Especially the scene you posted, THE FUCK? Really? I cringed so hard. Otherwise, it's not thaaaaaaat bad. It's not any better or worse than the usual shitty VK you hear . If they were Japanese people would be circlejerking all over them. The guitar solo felt out of place though, the entire song is sort of your typical bland rock song but then a classical influenced solo just tossed in there haphazardly.

TAKE MY MONEY NOW! I'M THROWING MONEY AT MY SCREEN AND NOTHING IS HAPPENING!

Don't know if this counts but I find it a bit funny about female Visual Kei fans is they'll bitch and whine about not finding a good man. Yet it's their own fault for having completely unrealistic standards because their ideal man is a photoshopped Asian boy that doesn't even look human anymore. They end up completely writing off 99.9% of the male population since the likelihood of them meeting that fake unrealistic person will never ever happen. I especially facepalm at the hypocritical femmy ones that complain about society objectifying women but turn around and do the exact same thing to men, especially Asian men and completely objectify them. Does that count as delusional because that's one thing that has annoyed me a lot about the female side of the VK fandom.

Single just does nothing but show that Kamijo is the weakest member in the band. Everything else outstanding but Kamijo performance is still lacking.
-
Overall the single isn't bad but I really dislike the remake of Red Carpet Day. It's a perfect example of Kamijo's voice becoming incredibly bland and losing the power it use to have in prior releases. Kamijo is proving to really be the weakest member of the band. Everything else regarding the remake is fine but Kamijo really drags it down, the hell is he doing. How do you go from good to suck?

ALWAYS WEAR YOUR HELMET WHEN RIDING!

YES YES YES YES YES! SIN wrote a lot of pretty legit songs. Oh I am actually getting really excited for Cell. Man, if their first release comes out in 10 different types I WILL BUY THEM ALL!

I think the new Lolita23q with Soshi released some of their best songs. I hope it's a bullshit hiatus and they just reform under a new name.

Now if you're feeling bummed and think you're hopeless, look at these fuckers and know you can never be this bad. http://okcenemies.tumblr.com/

QFT! Their albums since DESTINY have been pretty fug, this one is actually really nice! I wonder if Teru designed it, he designed Jubliee correct? Jubliee had a pretty nice cover as well.
