Ugh, LA is a stinkin piss hole. I wish they'd play in San Francisco or somewhere nicer in California.
  2. TheBistroButcher666

I mostly want the live DVD for La'Mule songs :U

I'm going to second Kai with Kinokuniya, even if you don't live near a store they will ship to your home. So you can try setting up an order with them and having them ship to your home, yes you're still paying shipping but it's domestic shipping and not international shipping which will be significantly cheaper. You'll be about a month-ish behind because the magazines come with their monthly stock shipment.

A few years ago I would have said physical but this past year now I now say digital. In the end I just rip the CD and listen to it in a digital format anyway, it seems pointless now to own a hard copy. However this mostly applies to easily obtainable media. To me there's no real value in owning something I can easily buy from Amazon, CDjapan or any local music store. Rarer items are an exception and since I find more value and appreciation in owning something that was printed in a limited number or not as easily available or simply for nostalgia sake (mostly nostalgia). So stuff like KEY PARTY releases, would love to have the physical copy over a digital rip but something like the latest Galneryus album, rather just buy the MP3s instead. There are still selected few artists that I buy physical releases for because I just like them a lot but stuff that I just passively like then I just rather have an MP3 copy.

I'm just saying it's probably more efficient and accurate to just have Kai pull the data from the website statistics and you can go from there.
  7. TheBistroButcher666

I would think Kai has this info from the IP addresses that visit this site.

Awesome! HIDEKI is back, I wonder if doing all those Vasalla revivals and being a short lived indie rock star is what is bringing him back, can't go back to being a boring nobody? :D :D How old is he? He's been around since the early 90s, must be old enough to be a parent of most VK fans and even most newbie bandmen.

Haaaa exactly. So after listening to this over on YouTube... I tried to give Yohio a chance in the beginning thinking since he's trying to pretend he is HIZAKI he might do cool guitar stuff and things like that. Especially before he released anything he was getting a lot of hate from fugly little weeaboo girls because he's not a precious cute little Japanese boy. Those same fug girls would love Yohio and all his bad music if he was a cute Japanese boy. Yet now that he has released an album more mediocre than any shit tier VK indie release full of every stupid VK stereotype crammed into it, now people have a legitimate reason to dislike him haha. I do agree with some of the people in the thread, he still has potential and he's also still young. Maybe in a few years he'll get out of his weeaboo phase and end up making some really good stuff? Who knows but he shouldn't try being VK. Instead just make music and then put on the stupid outfits and tease your hair.

Just let Teru compose more songs I think musically it's still going to be your standard heavy symphonic power metal music. I just hope that since they're not confined to the whole Versailles vampire story thing. They can expand and try new things which will be cool (like Teru composing more songs) Uhhhhh maybe because it's a thread about Jupiter? A band that has the all former Versailles members minus Kamijo. Which is why people are speculating what ZIN will be like and their opinions on Kamijo. All I'm saying is you need to get over the fact that the entire time Jupiter exists, especially with their first couple of singles or albums, everyone will be comparing ZIN to Kamijo. It's going to happen, happens with Malice Mizer to this day, happens with Moi Dix Mois happens with any band that has changed vocalists. ZIN has big shoes to fill and he has a fanbase of sexually frustrated pudgy girls to appease since they don't have Kamijo to rub off too anymore.

awww I was hoping for incredibly angsty Engrish tweets.

Also I don't know if the white guy in that cheki of mine is this mystery white guy that Kyouka is hanging out with. I was like, it's white person hanging out with Kyouka and all white people look the same RIGHT!?
  13. TheBistroButcher666

I don't think anyone said ZIN is trying to be like Kamijo. Also what do you expect, Jupiter is pretty much a Versailles reboot with a new singer so of course people are going to compare him to Kamijo. Though right now it's silly since we only heard not even a few seconds of his singing but it's going to happen and it's going to happen forever and ever as long as Jupiter exists with the former Versailles line up.
  14. TheBistroButcher666

I don't think he is a terrible singer, I mean in a different style of music he would be fine. However in this style of power metal, especially their later releases he just didn't have that power in his voice that this kinda music needs. Yeah Rhapsody of Fire is cheesy cornball band but at least Fabio fucking owns it like a boss, even if he's going on about slaying dragons and boning princesses he still just pushes that song making it an epic bombastic experience. Kamijo those moments in a song were it really need that OOMPH just ended up falling flat. I think he was just out of his element and will probably do fine in softer rock music.
  15. TheBistroButcher666

Musically I don't imagine it to be all that different, except now they're SPACE VAMPIRES! Actually since I assume they're not confined to the Versailles story they can branch out from doing aristocratic vampire themed Anne Rice music and possibly experiment more and do new things. So I'm looking forward to that, hope Teru composes more songs.

Eh, my boyfriend is pretty vocal about how he dislikes his Windows phone. Yet he's the same as me in that as long as it does the basic call, text, email then it's not that big of a deal, plus it's free for him. Yet little things like when we're looking up directions, my Android phone does it faster and better than his. Bing maps will either not be able to find the location at all (this really has happened before) or will take much longer to load, type in directions and go. The problem with the Windows app store is that there simply isn't a lot of apps on there and if there is an app that you need it's just not as good as the Android or iPhone version. There just isn't the same support from a large community like Android or iPhone. Though I will say that I wish Android screened their apps, I mean not be as strict as iPhone but there really is a ton of garbage apps on their app store. It doesn't surprise me that there are apps with malicious code built into them. Yet that's something Android seems to pride itself in. "We have XXXX amount of apps on our store compared to Apple!!" Yeah except most of them is garbage.
  17. It's pretty bad here because of how hard the singer is trying to sound like Kiryu's vocalist.
  18. TheBistroButcher666

I imagine they're probably friends with some of these bands, so maybe playing with them just for the sake of playing with friends. Also since they've already built a decent fanbase with Versailles good opportunity to for indie no namers to get some new faces to see them. Trying to find early Tokami releases to hear what this guy sounds like, hopefully he's not as weak of a vocalist like SNOREmijo.
  19. TheBistroButcher666

I am interested! I've been meaning to rip all of the songs they've been posting. I really like the latest stuff they've been doing. Not nearly as repetitive as their early demo singles.
  20. TheBistroButcher666

I second that, anything HIZAKI and Teru will be good. Please keep SNOREmijo away.

So a buddy in Japan went and saw one of Kyouka's session events and she ended up chatting with one of the session guitarist after the show. Basically during their conversation he brought up Kyouka flirting with the idea of going overseas. He's been hanging out with some bloke from Europe and they've been chit chatting about the idea of touring overseas but I think by overseas they mean Europe. This is Kyouka we're talking about though, so I don't know if he'd be able to organize an actual European tour but maybe a vacation probably. Perhaps his European friend has buddies in bands in Europe and they'll do dive bar session gigs in run down little pubs in Europe? That would be cool. Either way, just some gossip I thought I would share.
  22. TheBistroButcher666

I agree just use a bandana. Also facemasks are pretty tacky.
  23. TheBistroButcher666

If I remember right, I guess possibly why they don't do revivals is because I think they broke up due to their bassist passing away. Then again that doesn't stop Heisei Ishin from doing revivals.
  24. Walking around Sakuracon JUDGING everyone, especially Kai. Come say hi if you are here! :D

      Ito

Man, makes me think of old times when a some of the MH crew was still in the midwest and went to Acen.

  25. TheBistroButcher666

I didn't like gossip but Visage is where it's at nig. Visage was one of those VK bands stuck in the weird transition from gaudy Matina/Soliel era VK to current modern VK.
