Yes. Good!

Sneaky spoiler talk.

Fafner is not good for your health (or for having fave characters) but it's such a great season tbh ._. I keep being tempted to rewatch the original dead agressor but then I just look at Exodus and I don't know whether I want to go through the pain again.

At least Kenn can actually sing. ----- I fell into the latest two OVAs of Tenipuri and I've wanted to hit a wall multiple times.

You're asking that to people who've most likely watched the second season as well. It's been a while. I don't remember much of the first episode other than that Nagate was a kid who grew up without other people around (and is kind of socially awkward because of that) but somehow made it to the "surface". It gave the base for his character but everything after is different imo. The fights, the guana, the weird stuff happening.

Same, God Eater is a mess with a nice moment here and there. Rokka was fun at least though the story itself got me annoyed near the end. Loved the first season of Sidonia though. You can't really judge a series by its first episode. Classroom Crisis is a perfect example of that. The first three episodes were so boring I nearly dropped it but because of a friend I kept watching anyway. Glad I did.

This, really. I've been going to concerts for the past 10 years and I've seen it evolve. Personally I find it one of the most annoying things when the first few rows of a venue are just people standing there with their phones up. It obstructs the view from people behind them + they get mad at you when you accidentally hit them because of a pit or a rowdy crowd. I've seen people literally watch the shows through their phones and cameras while the band's performing right in front of them. Like, go home and watch a live DVD instead? I understand the need to record at least something to make it feel like you've been there. A lasting memory. But full shows? I'm usually in the middle of crowds when I go to gigs, and I'd rather not have to watch out for someone's iphone crashing to the floor, or someone's nasty stares when they can't keep their phones still. I'm fairly sure that's just called "setting the atmosphere" rather than "shut the fuck up, don't move, and fucking listen to mmmeeeeee." It's a type of respect to go along with what the band asks you to do for certain songs. Screaming and yelling is ridiculous imo too. Reminds me of when Dir en grey "demands" the crowd to be quiet for Kyo's acapella parts and every now and then there's this bunch of screaming fangirls who can't read situations. It ruins the moment. It really does. Singing along to songs? Now that shows something.

Aka every single character song.

Slowly starting to wonder if there'll be anyone left at the end of the current Soukyuu no Fafner season. (And if they're not going to go for a third cours)

I've been listening to so much Sawano Hiroyuki OSTs lately that I can hardly think of anything but his stuff right now. That said, I'm still in love with aLIEz which was an ending theme to Aldnoah Zero's first season. Or Sawano's X.U for Owari no Seraph. That one's great too (despite the terrible anime itself) Oh, Can't forget about Zankyou no Terror's opening and ending. Incredible songs which got me to check the whole discography of Aimer. Ozaki Yuuki's Trigger, as well as Aimer's "Dareka Umi wo". Still sending chills through my body whenever I hear them. Tokyo Ghoul on the other hand brought me to check out amazarashi's music. They're definitely not the reason I ever got into Japanese music, though I guess if you'd pull it through then in one way or another it would be. It all started way back when this precious thing came out after all.

Heavy Object is a total mess but that's also the reason why it's kind of fun to watch it. The kids are a mess and they don't understand what's happening themselves, it just does. I doubt they're going to be able to make this fun for a whole 2 cours but for the first 5 episodes I've at least somewhat enjoyed it. I started watching both Rakudai and Gakusen Toshi Asterisk but I ended up dropping the previous after just an episode and a half. Asterisk does way better on the typical harem ride and keeps it at least a little fun to watch. The fights have been nice so far, and I'm not too annoyed with the lead kid either. The story seems to at least have a little depth and we're already sure it's a split cour anyway. Also, for once I'm glad the boobgrabbing and all is kept to a minimum. (or maybe I've just seen too many things where there was way too much of that) HQ S2 is still as great as it's always been. Story's going to pick up a little in the next few episodes and we're going to see some character development. Very good adaptation of the original manga imo. I'm not completely sure why I'm even watching Owari no Seraph after that terrible first season but here I am anyway. So far it's beaten the whole series of previous episodes already, and I haven't necessarily wanted to throw my laptop out the window either. The whole Yuu/Mika thing still isn't my thing though (and oh help, how easy is it to see things coming?) I guess I can at least give one good point about Seraph: the OST. Sawano did it again ._. Daiya is such a great series. It has its slower moments and some trouble pacing here and there, but it's all done very well. I'm glad I started it back when it had only been airing for a few months.

It's not because a band gets inspiration from another band that they automatically sound like that band. I have been listening to LP from their first album. I grew up with them. But whenever I see people comment on how BMTH has become another LP the only reason for me to even give thought to it is because they both progressed in a way the fans didn't want them to. "I don't like it. I didn't like LP's progression either. They're just trying to be another LP" Nothing about That's the Spirit is LP. There is not one song on the album I could see Chester sing or Mike rap to. LP is LP and BMTH is BMTH. They don't sound the same. This is not a case of Sadie being Diru fanboys and trying to recreate a similar sound like them half the time. It's just simply like Panda said. The transition from Suicide Season, to There is a Hell, to then Sempiternal (with additional twist) and now That's the Spirit. Nothing feels wrong with it. It's an evolution of a band as a band. Of its members as members. BMTH had the guts to do their thing and grow. Yes, let people complain about their changing styles. Let them say they'd rather hear the older albums than the new ones. That's all just a personal opinion. But the problem lies with people demanding things they just don't want to admit themselves won't ever happen again. What 20 year old Oli screamed and screeched on Count Your Blessings is obviously not what 29 year old Oli does. News flash: 9 years do things. People grow.

I second this. Ignoring Prince of Tennis, my sportsrun started with Free and Kurobasu and to be honest with you, Daiya and Haikyuu deserve the spotlight way more than the aforementioned. While Haikyuu goes heavily on the team relationships and has an adorable side to it, it still remains a good sportsseries showing the ups and downs of team members and the team as a whole. Same goes for Daiya though it's way more serious than any other series in my opinion. They're doing a great job on showing the growth of the members as well as their struggle to overcome fears. At the same time the rival teams are interesting enough for not every match to feel the same way. (well, there's ones that flow better than others, but nothing's perfect after all) ----- For some reason it feels like I'm only watching mecha this season and that's not even true. I guess Gundam and Fafner in a combo with Comet Lucifer and Heavy Object is nearing the overdose limit.

Kind of ended up really liking That's the Spirit but it's not able to make me forget about Sempiternal. I'm fairly sure they'll never be able to surpass the greatness of that album for me. Fave tracks are Run, Throne, and Drown though. Been with them since they released their first album (was also around the time I saw them live for the first time) but I've never cared much for Count Your Blessings. I guess it was a fine album live, back when he could still do it live, but to listen to it's just a mess. I can get the idea that people want them to go back to their older self but to ask for another Count Your Blessings while the gap in music style hasn't ever been bigger just comes over as a little child demanding its sweets to be from one specific store which has gone bankrupt years back. The whining won't stop and they'll never be satisfied either. Just move on. Either way, got my tickets for their upcoming show here and considering it's been a few years since I've been able to see them live, I'm curious. Totally besides the point but... Belgium!

ib would be a pretty fun anime I guess. I'm not against that thought. Been reading way too many series just to pass time but if there's any I'm really following it's things like Haikyuu. Horimiya is pretty cute too.
-
I absolutely love the Tokyo Ghoul manga but the anime is pretty bad in comparison. I have the same strange thing with K. Though I'm totally here for more Fushimi. Parasyte was really good as a whole. Really enjoyed that one too. ------------ Finished most of past season's anime now. Waiting for new ones to start and finishing some other on-hold ones in the meantime. Like Bokura ga Ita for instance. Getting mad over everyone being unreasonable but I guess that's a general definition for shoujo series so.

With the season ending around this week, I've finished a few series in the past days. Ranpo Kitan was a fun watch. Interesting visual take on things though they took themselves way more seriously than they should have. It could have been a lot more than it ended up being but apart from that I think it did well. (My issues with the story were more on a personal idea level than it not having been done well enough) Akagami no Shirayuki-hime is getting a second cour in January, and while I like the adorableness of the series till now I don't really get what else they'll do to keep it somewhat interesting. It's not like there's a rival or anyone going in against them. It's really just a happy feel good series without much of a plot. It could get a bit boring if you don't at least think the characters are pretty cute. Joukamachi no Dandelion was a fun watch too, though nothing special. It's more episodic and has little things happening here and there, showing the relationships between the siblings as well as them and their friends. The one getting the crown in the end was pretty obvious to me but at least it was the "right decision" if you can even call it such. Rokka no Yuusha. Well, it was something, that's for sure. Some of the characters are really fun, others are pretty boring. There's not much to say about this series other than the fact I got pretty sick of them going "YOU'RE IT" "NO YOU'RE IT" back and forth for about 10 episodes. Then in the end the one actually being "it" just giving up like that. The worst moment to me ended up being the last few minutes though, where I would have smacked my head into the table if only I didn't have restraint. The series itself was a nice watch but if it's adapted right that means the base material is a drag. Maybe I should read it to see. Chaos Dragon: AVOID THIS STRAIGHT OUT OF STORYWRITING HELL DISASTER. With all the people involved I expected there to be more to it but it was nothing but a few random character thrown together, trying to make a plot happen. I'll honestly admit I'd been wishing for over half a season for someone to come and kill off the main lead because I was about done with him 5 minutes into the series. Aoharu no Kikanjuu. Well... it was entertaining... partly just because I really like one of the VAs and he did a great job... partly because it was just brainless entertainment. I expected way more though. ---------- So far this season has been an incredible letdown and with all these series skipping weeks because of delayed episodes and such, the flow broke really easily as well. God Eater is going to end a few episodes early and seemingly with a changed ending because they ran out of weeks to broadcast. Gangsta killed my mood somewhere little over halfway through and I'm not entirely sure why. I do really like Nicolas though. Charlotte pulled in some random plot-mechanisms just for the sake of it. One of those I don't really like to begin with anyway. It could have been pretty good but it ruined it for itself. Classroom Crisis ended up the surprise of the season. First a few horribly boring episodes but it picked up since then and now I'm just really sad it's ending soon ._.

Playing KH again. The nostalgia ._____.

They're coming to my fave venue again ._. To people asking for an American tour, they ARE touring with two other bands. Here.
-
Pre-ordered the new BMTH record and ordered an older the Devil Wears Prada EP last week as well. Next up is starting those Aimer and Amazarashi discographies ._.

Classroom Crisis had such a boring start but really picked up after that. The politics and manipulation behind the scenes of companies makes it so that no one ever really wins and it's a constant pull and push and questions of "who's going to end up being the winner after all of this?" It's been weeks since the story was mainly about that which it showed at the start. It is Kiryuu's story now, and wow did they mess with that kid's life (and not just his apparently). Two more episodes to go and I'm really curious how it's going to end. It's not popular enough for a second season, but at the same time I wouldn't mind one if it would go on as it does now. Chaos Dragon is so bad. So so bad. Still liking Arslan Senki quite a bit though I am wondering what they're going to show for the last 4 episodes and how they're going to deal with the kid that is Hermes. Still sad over Gieve though, even though I know it's "for the best" one way or another. There is no way Shokugeki no Souma isn't getting a second season.

Band SECRET 7 LINE was involved in an accident after a gig last August 30th as their car/van was overturned. While members Ryo and Takeshi got out with small injuries, bassist Shinji didn't make it. I only learned of this when I saw a post of SiM's vocalist Mah who seemed to be asking his own fans not to comment. Either way it's a horrible thing to happen. Rest in Peace, and my condolences to the other members, families, and fans. Source

Wah, can't wait. Hoping for some upgraded version of Monster/Gravitation. Also expecting a one word title again.
