I'm probably the only person here who actually liked "I.V.," all because it's the first song I've heard by them when I found them on iTunes and I didn't know that that's not what they actually sound like. Even though I like some of their stuff (mostly their first album, then only the title tracks of their other two), I really can't say I'm anticipating this at all. To me, they're the epitome of the phrase "resting on their laurels" and all of their stans in the US buy it (hell, Yoshiki has even been on my local news station and even my father knows who he is now, and he can barely remember my name half the time). I guess what I'm afraid of is is the impending X fever in US, especially since they have strong connections here. I abhor people who claim they love stuff without knowing shit about it (like how their work with hide sounds dramatically different from their work after, or even knowing why they're important. I won't even humor the question of whether they know what visual-kei is or not). Also, a cowboy hat? Seriously, stop that. Oh, it's a pirate hat. Slightly better.

On your web stuff, how did you get your divs to be rounded? (specifically referring to the one that's black and white)

In before Mana and Kozi are session members with that title.

Not having samples is very un-Versailles. Remember the website they set up for Jubilee with the picture of a chorus and all of the songs nicely arranged around a clock? I was hoping something like that would have happened again. I'm also surprised that they didn't release the PV for Vampire either, especially since it's supposed to be the theme song for a movie.

Alright, the album drops in 10 days. Where are my samples?

People still care about him? I thought people stopped pretending to like him to be cool in the 5th grade with "Skeletons in my Clawzette."

To be honest, the weakest part of their first single was the drumming, so losing him really didn't seem like a bad thing at all. They didn't say the bassist was leaving, they just said he was in the hospital and were using a support member until he felt better.

Semi-interested in this o:

Hope he feels better.

I hope they go back to their crazier, not so nihonjin, outfits for at least one release : / . Excited for this single even though I've been ignoring their 2nd album.

I see they queefed quaffed. Never actually listened to them before: are they another ridiculous trance-core band?

I've run into several J-rock releases in the US, several of them being Visual-kei. For example, I've bought D'espairsRay's first two albums in an actual store, I've seen Dir En Grey's album that starts with 'U' in FYE, I know Hot Topic's website sells Dio-Distraught Overlord-'s album, and I've seen Girugamesh's CDs around as well. The anime store by my school has a few GazettE cds too.

Guess you're feeling better, Banzon.

UnsraW light? So...type B is only 1 track?

Was his vk career not enough of a joke?

I think the mask is only used as some sort of nostalgia portal, causing her to go back to the day where she went to the masquerade and met Versailles for the first time. Then when she takes the mask off, she stops day dreaming and goes back to sleep on her rocking chair. The second girl is probably her granddaughter and picks up the flowers and returns to the ball to keep the cycle going. I think the key thing to know about Versailles Pvs (not that they really make all that much sense to begin with) is that they are heavily focused on repetition and infinite cycles. For example, the roses that the blond girl got in the video didn't die decades later and were passed on to another generation (which I assumed was so she could continue the cycle). They've used this same idea in earlier songs as well: "The Love from a Dead Orchestra" has lyrics about how Kamijo cannot be killed; "The Revenant Choir" has lines like "Our clan's blood will not stop forever;" and the end of the Jubilee album is an instrumental that sounds like it could be the introduction to the first track to give listening to it a continuous feel. Granted this isn't their best example of plot continuity and non-japanese-viewer-friendlyness, I think they were going for the same idea. I heard from someone who is trying to translate all of their songs into English and then piece them together so the whole story makes sense that "The Revenant Choir" is the start of the story and "Sympathia" is what would be the end if it weren't recursive.
