Jeez, what a hideous album art. + Never liked Mio's clean vocals, he uses too much vibrato which doesn't fit the heavy low tuned guitars. His voice would fit with a band like Matenrou Opera way better, the dude legit ruins Nazare for me. This band with Dadaroma's vocals would have been 10/10.

Interesting African influences.

That is true. They were massively under reporting cases due to Tokyo Olympics 2020, thinking it's just a bubble and it will eventually pass. But once they realized how serious it is, they announced that the Olympics were reported till 2021 and out of a sudden the reported cases exploded over night. Now, that was under reporting. But I wouldn't call not testing enough people under reporting. To me under reporting is when the government knows the numbers but decides to not reveal them to the masses, like what China is being accused of right now, and what Japan did to protect Tokyo Olympics 2020. But as for now, I don't think they do. As I just can't see what they would gain from doing that as opposed to China.

What would they gain from doing that though, out of all other countries.

I personally never was into old school Visual Kei (both music and aesthetics), even back in the days I was only listening to the bands who went for a more modern/heavy sound and sleek black leather jackets (instead of the extravagant cosplay look most bands went for at the time) such as Dir En Grey, 12012 (Post Deicida of Silence) and lynch. Started getting more and more into the genre as more heavy bands have started emerging on the scene. The turning point for me was the release of Dogma by the GazettE which was kind of the official announcement that the Visual Kei scene fully embraced the heavier sound and was ready to follow the prophecy of Dir En Grey.

Not usually into contemporary Pop music, but discovered this through a Sony Japan ad spot and been loving it.

Obscurial is a gem, reminds me of Dadaroma's good stuff. Red Masquerade is a cool song but the chorus is underwhelming. Quite a promising band, looking forward their next release.

I'm still wondering how Japan has such low numbers compared to China and South Korea. They are the country with the highest ratio of elderly population.
-
Yup, that exactly. Thanks. It's very unpleasant to my ears.

Whatever the name of the guitar tuning they're using.

Imagine if all their songs were like this and Oboreru Sakana. I'm so salty that they wasted their potential making ridiculous Circus Kei.

Had a short convo with the vocalist of the underground band Suggestions. Highly recommend their music if you're into downtempo deathcore.

Really digging this band. I wish more Black Metal bands had this good of a production, most of them sound like they have been recording on a Casio calculator. The vocalist comes from a Deathcore background, which explains why I'm liking this so much.

The online live concert this morning was a good initiative from the band. They've made a respectable sum of money from the YouTube donations.
