  1. We are in this month's Vijuttoke free magazine~

    https://www.club-zy.com/contents/373223

I translated the interview for everyone ^_^ enjoy~

    Quote

    ■Nice to meet you,
Please tell us how it came to be that
    En'Cell十Dis'Dein was formed.

Sou: For all of those who have not felt the
world view of Kairu we formed this charitable organization
so that they can experience it themselves.
The members who come close to this world view must have
virtues of the highest level that are untainted by poisons
so that they may be able to evangelize others properly with
    their artistic strengths.

    ■Please introduce the members.

    Kairu: On guitar, Kairu.

    Kiyoshi: On Bass, Kiyoshi.

Sou: I am the vocalist Sou. If you ask these two
    it is probably "sou",
But just from reading it is probably "Saw".
I enjoy watching horror films but actually
I am not so good at watching them.

■Since you formed in March of this year and the world soon
fell into the state of Corona, what kind of activities have
you been doing in this situation?

Sou: We were constantly writing songs. Since we were working by
exchanging data and messages I do not think it affected us much.
Since there were times I was late with my work I think it was
actually a positive thing since it gave me time to think about lyrics.

Kiyoshi: I joined from August so...
well from before then I was talking with kairu so...(^^♪

■I hear the concept of En'Cell十Dis'Dein is "Dark & Occult".
Please tell me who are some of the artists that have influenced you.

Kairu:There are many artists I like but if talking about what influenced me with this band...
    Due~le~Quartz, Laputa, and Lamiel.

Sou: After I received the first demo from kairu I felt it touched upon
my feelings of listening to alot of Deadman.

Kiyoshi: I like cool and exciting artists regardless of the genre! If talking about "Dark & Occult"
I like Marilyn Manson and such but...(haha)  Also, there are alot of people who switched from guitar to bass
but I started out on bass. The reason I started bass was because of NIKKI SIXX!! (haha)

■You released a song in March and in June. Next there is a 3 track CD to be released in October.
What kind of things do you keep in mind when making music for En'Cell十Dis'Dein?

Kairu:In a part of my soul there is a kind of world that is like an eroguro manga.
Before making a song I go into a mode of "falling into myself" where without thinking
I paint an image in that world. From there I think of the song title and then leave the
lyrics up to Sou. I'm sorry it is always a strange song title.

Sou: From the song titles the lyrics take form, so it's Kairu-Sama-Sama.

Kiyoshi: As I said before I joined from August so these 3 songs already existed so... It's like "Did I play these with my feel?"(^_-)-☆

■Please tell me what the first song on your CD "Death Proposal" is like.

Kairu: It is an easy to understand song with a strong impact. Since I grew up in California I tried to add the flavor of Hardcore Punk from there to this song.

Kiyoshi: I played that song pretending I was Jerry Only (haha)

Sou: When making the lyrics I thought of a certain psychological thriller movie and added a passage similar to that.
Please look at the lyrics and look for the meaning.

    ■The 2nd song Dataizai(english translation:Illegal Abortion)'s name gives a really strong impact.
Is it a song that gives the feel of 90's V-rock?

Kairu:Of all the songs I've ever made so far this one is maybe my favorite.
There are flavors from many eras I think, using the older playing style it is
a song that can appeal even to younger Visual Kei fans. It's a song that only this band can do.

Sou: Ironically I made lyrics that look forward and is full of love.

Kiyoshi: Keep this between us but I'm looking forward to November when we are shooting a music video for it!

■Please tell us what is your approach towards En'Cell十Dis'Dein's lives.

Kairu:Forget the everyday world and rest with us in the darkness.

Kiyoshi: It's such a troublesome time, so I hope that if you come you can let out all the stress
and emotions that you can't usually let out. It's a live so the least you can do is become crazy with us!

■Please tell our readers what is the appeal of an En'Cell十Dis'Dein live.

Sou:Ikebukuro Black Hole on October 29th (Thursday) is our 1st live, so I hope you can see it
    and feel our world.

■What is your vision for En'Cell十Dis'Dein in the future?

Sou:Step by step I hope we can gain experience so we can express what we want in a proper form.
We are a new band that just formed  but I hope we can surprise everyone with our strong actions.

■Lastly please give a message to our Vijuttokem readers.

Kiyoshi: To those who have just learned about us and are interested in us please
check out our activities from now on.

Honestly? Properly digitising stuff, especially VHSes, due to their volatile nature (calling NTSC "never the same colour" is so, so true), is a huge pain without the proper stuff. Send it off to someone who has the equipment. I happen to know that Panda has proper equipment.

And if you choose to go somewhere local, choose your establishment wisely - anyone can use a VHS/DVD burner, but not everyone has a TBC, a proper high-quality capture card, a Windows XP PC to use it on, the expertise to not fook up the deinterlacing, etc.

Thank you for throwing out some of those technical terms! Again not going to do it myself, Ive worked with analog formats enough to know I def need to trust someone with experience. Any more technical terms that you awesome folks can tell me to ask if they can provide is a big help ❤️

  7. Yo,

Going to try and find the best place to rip my Due le Quartz collection live,pv,etc.

Do any of you o.g. rippers have any tips on what to search/ask for tech-wise when choosing a place to make sure it is the best possible rip?

Am gonna try to scan my complete collection of the fanclub booklets too and will share all fashowskies.

  8. Pretty much any physical format I love so,

but the 8cms offered their own unique format for the presentation of the art so really love lots of the releases.

Their where even vending machines with 8cms in them, imagine going to one and getting a Dir en Grey single ; P

need that time machine already doc!

  9. hey all you cool cats and kittens! We have luckily not disbanded in 2 months as the coolio Karma's Hat predicted but who knows haha.

finally we were able to arrange photos during this crazy corona festival.

Have to wait a little bit longer to announce our bassist though >.<! New single Dataizai coming soon as well~

Am talking to STARWAVE about when we can do an event as well but still sketchy here.

can see more images on our twitter plus me being a dork on TOKYO BORDERLESS TV at: https://twitter.com/Encelldisdein

    Stay safe out there~!

  10. Am pretty sure Pata was paid well and Heath's contract was renegotiated(that is like almost 10 years ago now too?) So thats just old stuff anyways.

As for no money being in CDs anymore, its X Japan in Japan. That western ideal doesnt completely fit here, they would still sell butt loads and make profit in country.

Do not like to hate on Yoshiki too much, but comparing him to Masaya is pretttty crazy haha?? One abuses human beings, even children it seems, yoshiki may be living in Yoshiki-land but he is charitable and not abusing people physically etc. \=͟͟͞͞(꒪ᗜ꒪ ‧̣̥̇)/

We will always have the actual era of X to look back on anyways so meh

@ghostpepper Sorry I should have clarified, I was talking 100% about clean vocals. I don't really know anything about metal screaming and other extreme vocals (don't particularly enjoy it either). I'm sure it's difficult to do right and requires technique, but as explained in the video you posted, it's a different set of techniques from standard singing. After watching that video I realize that when people praised Kyo's vocals they were more commenting on these types of extreme vocals, rather than standard singing, thus I was probably looking for the wrong things when I listened to him. I can certainly see why people would be impressed by his ability to make such bizarre sounds.

I'll try to listen to Ishi, Jui, and Hide. Thanks for the recommendations! I have listened to a few things by Luna Sea and while I thought the vocals sounded better than most, they didn't stand out as being particularly strong. However, I think those were all very old, so I will check out some more recent performances. I have listened to a couple relatively recent Japan X performances and was not particularly impressed by Toshi. Do you have a favorite performance to recommend?

For Luna Sea look up Image live should see their recent performance of it. Really amazing. For X Japan tears is amazing. If you are not impressed by Toshi I do not know what will impress you. He is like the steve perry of Japan haha.

Hide is not really amazing technique wise, just he studied was all.

Ishii of kagrra has really great falsetto. Was a soprano from jr.high. ❤️

  12.  This lady does a really good job of explaining what Kyo is doing technically.

Maybe it can be perceived as "he does not have control." At face value but he is really pushing the boundaries on himself all the time so.

Metal techniques are harder to grasp at face and can seem easier than they actually are. Just the breathing aspect of it can be so hard.

  13. Kyo's technical abilities are really amazing, if you are actually a pro musician it is easy to recognize that he does some things that not really anyone else can in the scene.

You have mostly people who do not really try to learn technique and those few who actually make the effort, same with most positions.

Kagrra's Ishi was someone I know who actively studied theory, Jui from vidoll also.

Ryuichi from Luna Sea really studied hard, hide once made a comment about how he was amazed how much he progressed. Hide also made a big effort with the same Vocal trainer Toshi used. Toshi still trains with international and japan based vocal teachers.

10/10, definitely will look forward your next releases, and hope you save VK from its current misery state.

Am but a single lil foreign man in a sea of fakeness but I try to put my love for all things oldschool VK into these songs ❤️ hope that can be felt in these songs.

Have had a lot of people put that save VK thing on me, maybe should make some kind of Jihad song? Kill zee infidels. Spit on the false Queen my bruddahs

after buying music I prefer to play via spotify anyway, because of playing also gives an artist little money.... even if it takes 1000 of plays.. takes hours but well. o.o

but selling via tunecore isn't cheap too... you gotta need some good sales to earn the cost money back 😅

however sometimes they have cheaper or free offers for a limited period.

Yah after buying is a good way to do it!

Breaking even on tunecore is not hard from itunes or amazon music sales but if the trend of people using only streaming continues without change in policy god diggaly dang yah, for a full album price youll need a buttload of streams ( 人 ) ゚д゚) #musiciansneedpizza

beside that it can take 2 years until they received the money from spotify plays 🤣

    yah if it is actual big big money have heard about problems with them. >.<;;;

    Spotify is the biggest streamer but the cheapest when it comes to paying the artist T_T;;;

That said still super happy when people listen to even my stuff on spotify,

play a song 1000 times so I can eat some pizza.

  17. 28 minutes ago, visvasrit said:

in that case, wouldn’t it be better to set their music worldwide so they get more plays? this is about bands already on spotify of course, like DELUHI. i also saw JILUKA is on spotify but they’re blocked outside japan too. it’s just disheartening since apple music is so bad imo but most bands are there :(

i play 蘭図 on repeat all the time just for that reason you said of them getting payed LOL

yah, but you'd be amazed at the boomer logic in the music industry haha. "if they really like us they will buy the CD." or dumb sh!t like that. can understand as someone who shells out 99% of my existence to be able to create music but the reality of this age wont change.

you are gonna need to play 1000 times just to get a band 7.50$ haha. honestly the current streaming format is lame but if people can get access to music its coo I guess.
