No offense but how do you come to that conclusion based on "DIR EN GREY’s latest live footage filmed for appositely for this screening."??? Doesn't seem like it can be worded much clearer to me. 😕 Unless their latest live footage was recorded in the 90s....

I can't even lie, I do think furi is pretty cringe. When I've been to shows and that it is nice to see people having a nice time and joining in "together" and whatnot. But personally I feel that music should be experienced personally and not collectively, in other words, I feel people should express themselves at shows in their own ways rather than waving their arms in unison in triangle shapes or running from one side of the room to the other like a failed game of bulldog. lol. I said the same thing about Nocturnal Bloodlust in another thread about fan division, it's not at all surprising when a band changes style so dramatically that they lose fans or gain new ones as essentially it's like listening to a completely different band, probably a band playing a style you wouldn't normally listen to or enjoy....

Hey guys! As some of you may know if you've ever paid any attention to my posts here and there throughout the forum, I am a musician and have played in many projects/bands etc.... But I have literally just set up a page on soundcloud where I'm just uploading misc demo stuff that doesn't really fit into any of the other projects I'm involved in and probably wont ever be recorded professionally. All the stuff is instrumental (so far) and is by no means perfect production wise, hence they are demos after all.... I have one track up for now but will be updating this now and then, so yeah, here's the link and I appreciate every one of you who takes the time to check it out. Thank you so much! Oh, and yes you get to see a pic of me (masked) as well.... haha.

Solid discography from start to finish really. I loved how so many releases throughout their entirety had their own vibes. I still spin what I own of them (everything from sutanchiku onwards) on a pretty regular basis. But as people seem pretty hyped about b-sides from releases before so maybe I need to get into that.

Well the VARIOUS topics do keep things pretty entertaining but some of it makes me pretty MAD, K. Sometimes it just fills me with REGRET having checked the thread to begin with.

Let's talk about it....

Didn't really catch my interest until I came across *ahem* the first three volumes so thought I'd give it a go being a fan of their heavy stuff and all and was pleasasntly surprised by how interesting and diverse the unplugged version of the songs were so look forward to hearing this one at some point too.
-
Which two previous guitarists are you referring to? I'm assuming Cazqui and the other dude who was in it at the same time and can't remember the name of right now? Not the guy who was on the last EP and immediately got yeeted for being a bad man? It can't really be denied that the Cazqui era was also their best, musically and successfully, probably because even though they were still heavy, Cazqui's writing style really gave them their own sound which is now lost and now they're just lumped in with "American Sounding Metalcore bands". Personally I don't HATE the band now, Unleash was alright and I have also ordered this one on a gamble, though wont get it until February as ordered it in a preorder with other stuff.... But they simply just aren't the same band they used to be and now do sound like a lot of other bands rather than having their own unique style of songs that people loved like Libra, Sphere, V.I.P, Calamity of Victims etc.... Compare and you can see obvious differences hence it sounds like two different bands basically, so if some people don't wanna ride with the new stuff then it's totally understandable. I will peronsally be waiting til I get the EP and listen to it in full before jumping to any conclusions, but if this doesn't hit the spot for me I'll probably be taking a back seat on these guys aswell.

I'm personally not really into any of the bands you mentioned (do like some Kiryu though) so probably wont see you around here much but hope you enjoy your stay and chatting with people into the same/similar bands/music as you. This place is really great for that. Unless you like DIMLIM, then good luck. 😛

Got to second this. Haha. As has been said previously it is extremely unusual for smaller vkei bands to re-release/repress anything, ESPECIALLY if those releases feature members who are no longer in the band. + Considering after Issei left they've gone in a pretty different direction, later almost denying various and anything pre cheddar existed why would they re-release it??? + I never saw ANYTHING about that ANYWHERE so even if it was a thing it was probably a sketchy bootleg or something. + As for it "selling out really quick" I've never seen this album, again, ANYWHERE, so my hunch is that it doesn't exist. ROFLCOPTER.
-
Really? I love Isseis savage drumming style. But yeah I'm pretty sure none of this stuff is going to be repressed so looks like we gotta keep an eye on the second hand stores for extremely over priced copies. I understand the concerns with second hand stuff but in my experience, a lot of second hand stuff from Japan is always in pretty damn good condition, if not nearly brand new the "damage" is extremely minor and wont really be a cause for concern. Also I've never received anything that didn't work properly so I'd say you're pretty safe getting second hand cds generally.

Same, this is my favourite Dir en Grey song and it should be heard by way more people.
-
I'm sure him and the band put this together just for you sister. Well when your band is best known for memes and lels it is perhaps time to call it a day and move onto something new.

That kid will go down a bomb at an industrial night. Just need them goggles and cyberlox.
