From my personal experience I would say it comes down to the language barrier. Most people I've spoken to say they like to know what the lyrics are, so hearing music in a foreign language can be a turn off for them because they don't know what they're saying. For some people it could be due to racism, but at least from the people I've spoken to race wasn't brought up at all.

Musically this band is still really good, but those vocals >___<
