Re:xist. Whatever happened to them? Did the singer do any other bands? Did any of their material come online? Other than the short PV above I can't find a single thing...
-
Maybe just that at the end of the day all this is opinion and none of it counts for shit.

No Music? It's nice to see that people actually listen to Now, though, considering the backlash.

I must be one of the few who didn't like his early work and yet really dig the latest stuff... Guess there's someone in every bush, it seems...
-
On the other hand, without the fans then bands wouldn't be able to earn a living. If you treat your fans poorly then don't be surprised when the rug's pulled from underneath you. So, like I said. Little of column A, little of column B.
-
Oh that was an uncomfortable heart-sinking feeling...
-
Not a fan of fan-recorded lives, either through quality issues or principle. The literal only time I've watched a fan-recorded live seriously was those ones of kpop dance routines, for shits and giggles. The quality of those were dreadful, too. I had to mute them otherwise it would have been more unbearable for me than actually listening to kpop. So yeah, objection sustained? -- In regards to photos though, has anyone seen those pictures online of when bands themselves take a photo of them and the audience? Wish more bands did that, I'd much rather an event be remembered like that.
-
If that's the case then it's become apparent that as I age, I'm spending an incredibly less amount of time on the internet.
-
It's not really a stupid name, at least not in the sense it came about. Plus you have to take into account they're Japanese, expecting a proper, 'normal' English name is bad-play. But seriously, wanting to punch something when you hear just a name? That's an issue dude, should probably deal with it. And congratulations, the logic fallacy of "Hey I didn't like this, so it's bad". Not the first time I've seen it here, won't be the last.
-
Lil' of column A. Lil' of column B. Fans and live-goers should be understanding of bands and managements wishes and decisions. Bands should understand at least the basics of the culture they're playing in and take that into account when making their decisions. At the end of the day, they still get to wave-dick so if you don't like it? Get out. -- The one photo limit at VIP meets sort of sounds dodgy, but I can sort of understand if they wanted to keep pace. If people took too many photos then it'd slow down the process and would take too much time. Different if it's more of a hang-out, but the more general you make your argument the harder it is to be coherent and make a firm point. I've never been to one, but do they have professional photography? It'd suck if you were allowed one photo and it was a dodgy mobile picture, especially if you paid extra for it. My opinion, though, on the whole no phones at lives. Eh, I sort of agree. The kind of person I am, though, is that I'd rather enjoy the experience, I went there to hear the band play, you'd want to be in that moment. Sure it's nice to have a memento, but we're living in an age where we have to apparently document everything we do and it's just shallow. I have my memories and my experiences and I don't really need pictures to remind me of them or to show and brag to other people. It might be different for those young people who feel they need to validate themselves and their experiences online, through twitter or instagram, or whatever else, but personally I'm completely fine with the idea of no phones, no pictures.

Tie-ins only really bother me when it compromises the song and/or artist in some way due to the nature and constraints of the relationship. I listen to a couple pop artists who do a couple songs for anime and/or dramas here and there but when I listen to them, it still sounds like one of their songs that just got some outside use, rather than a song that was made for them to sing that sort of sits in an "uncanny valley" sort of place where it's the same artist but sounds slightly off. Plus you also get instances where songs made for other mediums and uses tend to want to follow the style. I remember a major 'weaboo' point was that they only listened to anime openings and other music like them, but personally I've never come across it in any of the artists I listen to often, off the top of my head at least.
-
Can't speak to whether Kyo actually did it, but for those who are doubting the possibility or plausibility of scratching the inside of your mouth, in my more younger, excessively emulating weeaboo days I definitely defaulted to that after another regretful phase which was 'cutting'. It produces more liquid than you'd expect but it's mostly because it's blood+saliva. I covered a shower wall with it easily. However, my mouth will never be the same because of it and it's an unfortunate reminder and lesson to not be a fucking idiot.
-
Don't artist topics on the artists board exist for this exact purpose? But sure, fan-wank on, w/e.
-
-
My shout out to GacktxKami - Regret. That duet is wonderful. Another nod to Gackt's Birdcage, from I believe the live was Jougen no Tsuki.
-
People are bitching him out for wanting people to not give away his shit for free? Fuck, you guys are cunts.
-
Why did this get so much more attention than it deserves?
-
I can't genuinely be the only one here who thought the preview was terrible? Man, and I thought people praising and enjoying the vocalist of Deathgaze was the weirdest thing to happen here...
-
Not his best look by far, but I can go with it. Loving the hell out of the dvd+cd cover though. Anyone have eyes on the "MOON TYPE SPECIAL JACKET"? That and the booklet if they're the only differences between editions drive up the price by a lot...
-
I only remember the title-track for ELECTRIGGER and whilst I thoroughly enjoyed it, it did feel and seem very "vee-kay" from what I can remember, which I've found in my later years to be more of a turn-off than anything. As for Initium, I'm not too sure on how everyone else felt. I only really enjoyed the title track and one another which was Lost Word but that's only 'cause I love the music that it opens with, the vocals of that one don't really do anything for me. Wasn't Hizumi involved in Initium somehow? That may have been cause for people's comments back then..
-
Anyone else have mind for Redrum? The one where the singer left for some other band with a stupid name that turned out to be terrible? After Initium I noticed at least here a couple of times they were remarked as a sort of follow-up D'espairsRay. Disappointing so see where it ended up.
