One thing I'm upset about as a bassist is that I've checked that chick's YouTube channel and she started playing the bass a couple months ago and has a begginer level. Thus - She didn't record SoD's first music, that's for sure, MiA did it - She probably will do like Koichi and pretend to play bass most of the time, which is extremely frustrating for musicians who purchase a ticket to see people "playing live". That probably bothers just me anyway. MiA probably met her at some Gucci/Versace party and was like "oh your fanbase be huge let's make a band, don't mind the music, just mind the money" and that's disappointing coming from such a talented person. He can make a living and be an honest musician too, he has the fanbase for it...

Jupiter will hold their fanclub-limited 5th anniversary live on July 16, followed by their resurrection live on July 21 at Shinjuku ReNY (where fans can name their price to attend). Lastly, they will hold their oneman live, "THE GENESIS" on August 26 at Shinjuku BLAZE. Hizaki has also teased that there will be a new vocalist joining the group, so stay tuned!

your most special Vk live occurences

There are three things that come to mind right away. The first is the first time I saw TRA TRA TRA. I wasn't even there to see them, I was actually there to see LOUD GRAPE before they disbanded lol. TRA happened to be the first band to play and the first song they played was Melt. Within the first few beats of the song my friend and I had exchanged looks like "omg yes." I liked them so much that I literally went up to some guy who was in saizen and asked him the name of the band cos I couldn't understand wtf Ryo said when he said their band name lol TRA changed EVERYTHING. They were the first band that I followed super closely, went to almost every live, my first satsuei, my first ensei... not to sound over-dramatic, but without them, I'm not sure I'd be living the way I do now. Hell, I might not even be in Japan still haha. I mean, I literally joined MH so that I could have a place to spazz about them cos I couldn't talk about them enough ahaha Another moment I'll never forget is when I saw 弾丸NO LIMIT (Dangan NO LIMIT) for the first time in a long time. I didn't have a very positive memory of them from the last time I saw them and wasn't expecting much tbh. But as their set continued I realized I really fucking liked them and had no idea why I remember disliking them the last time I saw them haha so I downed my beer so I could join in their set lol and during Sono Uso Honto, Miyuu got too excited and accidentally threw his towel into the crowd and I was lucky enough to catch it and I remember how fucking excited I was haha the whole experience of their set and my reaction and people I met after kind of had a huge affect on my going to lives experience lol And maybe the most special moment was when I saw FoLLoW for the first time. I almost didn't even go to that live for whatever reason I can't remember anymore. But @hiroki had recommended them to me and I must've had the ticket already cos I remember it being a very "I might as well go" kind of feeling and I was all the way in the back and didn't bother switching out with people to get closer or anything. Before the live I thought I'd be Maki gya cos he's hot af lolol but during the live I was super drawn to Masashi. Anyway, the special moment for me was when Masashi started singing Ningyo hime. Never before had I EVER been so affected by a song or live performance. It was insane. I've never felt so emotional at a live up till that point. And that one performance, that one moment, Masashi singing さよなら right before the last 「さよなら」さえ言えなくて line at the end of the song pretty much changed my VK experience. It's kind of impossible to explain what I felt that night haha I still don't quite understand it myself. It wasn't even like I had a strong connection with Masashi before or during that live. In fact, I could have just as well not been there at all and Masashi would have been none the wiser haha but it was definitely one of the most special moments I've experienced in all the lives I've been to. There are a lot of other really special and/or memorable moments I've had, but those three have had an especially huge impact on me and stand out really clearly in my memory.

I'm thinking it's one of those oldfart metalheads that Hizaki likes so much, but since this is vk, my mind leads to either Riku or even Sui for some reason... It also really wouldn't surprise me if they scooped up another n00bie like they did with Zin (and maybe Rucy as well). He was virtually unknown in SLOD before he joined.

Please guys tell me you understand that this song preview is not Sugar or Dry's original song ? It says so in the name of the video on YouTube 【嘘じゃないです】(It's not a lie) / Obviously a prank, see for yourself, they just used the music On Lap - Out of control, they say so in the description of the video. Now I'm not discussing the concept or wether it's good to mix YouTube, gaijins and Visual Kei, but I give the music a chance though. MiA has amazing composition skills and I don't see why he wouldn't use them for this band.

Incredible voice. I like enka. Don't think only old people listen to it. Chilean Mon Laferte is kind of exploring Japanese music with a enka vibe.

From what I understand, "ニグレド" (Nigredo) will be limited to Niigata and Sendai ; "アルベド" (Albedo) to Nagoya and Osaka ; "ルベド" (Rubedo) to Fukuoka, Okamaya Prefecture and Hokkaidô. I think that there is no 5th item and that it is just the theme of the release. https://lineblog.me/fixer_lineblog/archives/1115903.html

In all honesty though? I feel like these dudes would be more than capable of continuing as a reasonably solid fully instrumental act.. I just kind of feel they probably wouldn't get major-label support for it, and (probably) the average VK fan wouldn't really be able to stomach it either due to the lack of a frontman

Very special gig last night at Budapest's A38 venue. The return of the almighty Tormentor in all its original lineup glory! Warmup acts were Cult of Fire (pretty cool) and local post-black band Perihelion (not bad but kinda out-of-place imo), nice vibes all around. It was obvious tho that everyone came to see Attila Csihar & co of course and we weren't disappointed. I had some minor fears beforehand, of how well they would play after all those years, but they absolutely killed us all. Total old-school black/thrash inferno! All the fretboards of the guitars were blazingggg and Attila was a surely evil sight to behold (and to hear!). Tormentor I, Elisabeth Bathory, Beyond and Branded by Satan were my highlights of the night. Absolutely killer gig. Strongly thinking about attending Rockmaraton fest this year for a second helping of Tormentor, coupled with some Carpathian Forest. Random pic from the gig (not mine): More photos here if anyone's interested

I got wind it was diff. when I watched the "Pledge" cover. I don't rescind my previous statement, as his voice is not that bad. That being said, the whole thing reeks of JPN Youtuber antics, which is definitely not my cup of tea. IMO I find John's channel content obnoxious (staged drama & clickbait (sort by popular)), but he could be a genuinely good person behind the scenes. It's not that he's a gaijin that I find "off", it's the people MiA has suddenly gotten involved with that has turned a lot of heads. That being said, it's totally MiA's choice since he started the whole thing. All in all, if they sound good I'll give them a shot. Everyone here is just poking fun at it considering how bizarre this all is.

    Spring '18 Trade-Off Theme

Cycle of Life Make a mixtape about the four seasons (Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter). Choose songs that represent or remind you of different seasons. For example, if you want to make a mix that consists of 12 songs, you could choose 3 songs for each season. Or just choose whatever number of songs you want. Be creative. The problem with this is that there's already been a spring theme, and also winter/christmas theme. In Dreams This is open for interpretation. It could be about a dream you had, you could come up with a story, or just make a mix of dream-like songs. Or nightmarish ones.

    Spring '18 Trade-Off Theme

Not very spring-inspired, but a theme I was thinking about is GOD - How would a god manifest him/herself through music? It can be any god or deity: the monotheistic one of Abrahamic religions, one (or more!) of the many gods of faiths and mythologies around the world, or a fictional one from a book/movie/comic/anime/game. It can be one you believe in, or just fascinated with (or just read about somewhere and thought was really cool). It can also just be your personal perception of god - cosmic energy or anything else you interpret the concept as.The songs can portray anything from the characteristics of said deity, to its story or just how you feel about it or think its soundtrack should sound like. tl;dr: choose a god or gods and build a soundtrack around them. I think this is general enough because most people have had some sort of contact with religion throughout their lives, weather they're people of faith or atheists. Gods play major role in everything from people's daily lives to major historic events to pop culture, so it could be interesting to see how people perceive them and what they mean for them.

Ziskakan (maloya, sega, pop, rock) from Reunion Island Ziskakan is one of the best live band here. They formed 40 years ago and their music is amazing. Ziskakan is not only a music band, it's a cultural movement. Pamplemousse (noisy blues rock) from Reunion Island Magnetix (punk, garage rock) from France Le Prince Harry (synth-punk, coldwave, post-punk) from Belgium Minibar(D) (rock, grunge, alternative) from Reunion Island (no video) Tukatukas (punk, hardcore) from Reunion Island Mouse (guitar/drums, rock, post-rock, noise) from South Africa The Horny Bitches (punk, rock) from Montreal BOOBZ (rap, rock) from Reunion Island (no video) LORIZINE (maloya) from Reunion Island VACUUM ROAD (metal) from Reunion Island ROCUAR PALACE (prog, noise, post-rock) from Reunion Island Tell Me Peter (alternative rock) from Reunion Island (no video) No Leads (soul, funk), from Reunion Island

Kamelot last night. The place wasn't too big so could get pretty close to the stage. Had much fun, although the actual gig was awy too short to my taste and they cleared the place right after, Luckily caught the drummer so could take a photo with him and shake hands. lol Loved these guys live. I hope to see them again. They had a warmup act called Kobra and the Lotus, for about an hour, and then their vocalist did support vocals for some songs. Didn't really like her voice though.

Got drunk during the day and checked out if there were any bands in town and August Burns Red was, so I went to see them. I hadn't heard their music aside from a few snippets here and there, but my impression was that they played emocore until settling into some loungy major deal post-hardcore territory to cruise control it a career. And I was wrong. Apparently they've played more or less the same music their entire career, and it still averages two breakdowns and a "GO!" *parkway drive riff* sequence a song. Naturally I had a decent time despite having my energy levels sapped by the flu.
