I could give a shit about PT or Ryu's solo (sorry benibb), but there's no need to get excited to the point that you feel you can be insensitive. The quality of plastic tree's recent output is certainly up for debate, but do be mindful that your opinion on the matter is not fact and that others will feel differently.

Here we go again with this "real fan" bullshit. Supporting a band does not mean we can't be critical of their output. Not enjoying certain music is not the same as not understanding it. Seriously, how hard is it to understand this? As for Pura, there have been glimpses of great music here and there over the last few years, but overall I feel like their music has stagnated since perhaps Donna Donna. Their last singles do sound extremely similar to one another. It feels lazy. This sample of Ryutaro's solo album, even though it's extremely short, has already sounded fresher than any of their last release, which says a lot.

The vk scene stepped up their Halloween game this year.

I hope they find him, but the fact that they put it out there that he owes his band members money, it sounds like he's gonna be in trouble when they do. Also HE HAS A CAT. HAS ANYONE CHECKED ON IT? HAS ANYONE TAKEN CARE OF IT? Just real talk here. His cat, guys.

I know that I need deadlines to push the best out of me. I get stuff done otherwise too, but having less time to finish things does wonders for my work. No matter how "artificial" those deadlines might be. I guess part of the reason is that I have to commit more time to painting in a shorter timespan, so I reach a certain flow state easier. When it comes to challenges like inktober, you know it's only one month, so that may make it easier to push yourself to work every single day, where as normally many might take days off. Then there is also the community aspect to inktober too, which I love. Having said that, I didn't take part in Inktober, I knew from the start of the month I was gonna be too busy for this : / Respect to you guys for going through it! plastic_rainbow. I've been following your stuff on tumblr and you've got some amazing pieces done! ^^ Hakoniwa, I like your stuff too. That portrait with the sunglasses is my favourite. Mario's expression is pretty sinister too

wasn't rinkaku their own label? im guessing it was some offshot of bloom, unless they decided to go independent after shedia. so either they're going independent or moving onto a better label, and im guessing the latter based off this hehe (the new ohp is a lot nicer than their past one)

That makes me happy to read There was a time when we had the entire discography translated -- but when we looked back after getting a better understanding of Jojo's lyric-writing style, we decided there was a lot of junk. Unfortunately we lost the spark of motivation to get back to revising everything. BUT, I did bring a new mod on recently who should be helping get the site back up to speed when they settle in. And I'll keep trying to update when I can, but alas, life.

Hi everyone! I've never posted on a forum before so here goes! I go by ghata, I'm a 25-year-old guy from California. I work in the family business as an ISP. I got into Japanese music when I started watching anime when I was 13 listening to all the intro and closing songs! I like just about any genre of music but VK is definitely my favourite. My favourite bands are Versailles, Girugamesh, Dir en Grey, The Gazette, and many more! If I'm not listening to music I'm trying to play it on guitar (and hopefully piano and violin one day) I also practice Wing Chun(kung fu) when i can. I play lots of video games and watch any anime I can get my hands on. I always wanted to find a community of other people who liked Japanese music as much as I did that I could talk to, and I'm really excited about this forum! Thanks for reading! So tonight TRA TRA TRA dressed up for their live since it's Halloween. I was kind of surprised they didn't play KAMIKAZE, but this setlist was really fun! <333 I honestly don't know how to feel about Hiroki's costume LOL He makes a damn good Harley Quinn though?? And he was really in character. lol he was chewing bubble gum the whole live and during the MC said how it was difficult cos his hair kept flying into his mouth and getting stuck in the gum lolol I don't really get why Ryo only painted half his face...lol Some more picspam <33333 I pretty much died when Hiroki walked out on stage. Like I guessed he would be Harley Quinn cos Omi hinted that he'd be the Joker and after Hiroki said he was crossdressing... BUT I STILL WASN'T READY FOR IT LOL After their set they all walked off stage. Hiroki strutted off last, but they locked the door on him so he couldn't get out LOL he kind of frantically tried the door like 3-4 times and finally just rapped himself up in the curtain to hide lololol <333 I think a lot more people were getting into them. Sounded like Hiroki got a pretty good reaction for his costume haha. Hopefully they've gained some fans!!

I'd just like to add that they rescinded this ban a mere twelve hours later with the concept of gender badges. The fear which prompted this move was cause for concern about male perverts cross dressing to sneak into female changing rooms. They didn't have concerns about female perverts sneaking into male changing rooms, which is why this was a one-way ban. Apparently, voyeurism is a huge problem in Japan and cons have historically been their time to strike. "Gender badges" are way of identifying a cosplayer as male or female so they can monitor what bathrooms you use. Did you know Japanese smartphones are built to create a fake camera sound every time you take a picture? This is to deter pervs taking surreptitious pictures of women in public places without their consent. There is no way to turn the sound off. What's more interesting is if you take an unlocked American phone and put a Japanese SIM in it, it will force the sound on! This info was purely for context.
