About This Club

A place to discuss your favourite old school bands!

  1. What's new in this club
  2. I think they was more in the glam side than in vk...
  3. I'd definitely show Silver Rose and Kuroyume, btw Justy Nasty was vk or just glam/ new wave band?
  4. would show something not very mainstream, would show Larm†Madul'e or Persona
  5. Luna Sea, La' Cryma Christi, No'ix, Buck-Tick, and El Dorado are good!
  6. so i actually wanted to put together a list of some "must listens" of older bands cause im in my 2nd vk phase of being obsessed with and currently im just crazy about a bunch of new modern bands but during my first phase i did check out some older bands but they didnt stick to my memory, so besides the ones listed here what would u consider some essentials of the genre so far im looking at binge listening to malice mizer, rentrer en soi, and derlanger. who else should i add
  7. Thank you for the suggestions. Gonna check them out sometime. 😁
  8. That's cool! I used to listen to a lot of traditional Japanese music, then I found CrowXClass and Memento Mori, and there began my journey lol
  9. That's cool. I remember seeing some vistlip PVs before I even knew what VK was, but a YouTuber named Akidearest explained it to me and I did a little research and fund Versailles. The rest is history.
  10. I found NeiL while looking through youtube. By-sexual was one of the first Vkei bands I ever heard of, because when I first found out about vkei, I did some basic research on it lol
  11. I know. I remember browsing vk .gy and saw the name BY-SEXUAL and thought "What a name for a band. Definitely gonna check it out." As for Neil, I remember someone recommending it to me.
  12. Just an update even though I Kno no one really uses clubs anymore. I managed to get an "S" disco. And I can share if anyone wants.
  13. Yeah I kno lol Let me kno if you find any. Thanks
  14. I'm not sure where to find any, but I'll look when I have more time. (Sadly, good ol' reliable Evil en Lucifer had some dead links lol)
  15. @AimiGen7 Got a Can you hook me up with a complete S discography? Thank you if you can Partial here: What's missing here:
  16. Wasn't sure where else to post this (seemed the most appropriate), but I figure someone here might know: I've been trying to find music from Forme'd Eros, the short side project of Tetsu Takano, but I literally can't find anything! All I know is that they did one original composition, "Ima Wa...", and some covers. Anyone have any leads on this? This would be extremely appreciated to anyone who can help!
  17. here's these songs, so you can check them out yourself: https://www.sendspace.com/file/m7t14d
  18. They did? How come I can't find anything about the single, besides that Reo joined some other unknown band named Φ. I only hope the other 2 songs were awesome like Hakenkreuz. It seems that Reo's new band, Alice in the Maze, still plays it live.
  19. Here's a band that I think are super cool, Girl Tique. Not only were they among the very first visual kei bands in general, forming in 1985, but they had to be one of, if not the first female fronted visual kei band, something that's unfortunately pretty uncommon even today. They played a cool and kinda dark and eerie heavy metal. Girl Tique released an album, an EP, a demo, and a single over a relatively short 6 year run before breaking up and disappearing into obscurity. It's a shame because they were way ahead of their time. Some songs by them: ( So-U-U-Tsu) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n85vcSg9XGE (Onna/女) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MruZOMm3h0c (午前3時12分 Love Forever) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Pqqwk6StXE
  20. ^ they do have 2 more songs, Butterfly and FAKE, that were on Haken kreuz single
  21. These are some of my favorite old bands too lol I don't find many +sadist+/Parasite fans too often haha It's a shame that Parasite had only this song, I really like the piano intro.
  22. I know a bit about some other pre-visual kei movement bands too if the members of this group are interested. I think it's just all really neat to learn about, and have researched for a long time about the various bands who helped to shape what eventually became the movement. Oh yeah, here's a couple photos of Mephistopheles in the early to mid 80s, not sure how colorful they were, but probably something close to the image below this one: And one of vocalist Rob in color: Rather early X Japan looking, huh?
  23. They actually were never very famous despite at times prominent members, but Japanese metal fans have known the name for years and years because they've performed live with pretty much every Japanese speed and thrash metal band of the 80s, right through to present day. They were even featured on a split album with X Japan once when they were both newcomers.
  24. Oh wow, so they're just legendary overall. That's just plain amazing. I guess Hikaru knew good talent, him being considered quite a virtuoso with his own instruments. I'm guessing due to the fact that Mephistopheles were very prolific in terms of live performances, they never really had time to record an album? This is just a guess, since it wouldn't be the only time a Vkei/Jmetal band spends more time preforming or with fans than in the studio *cough* La'mule *cough*.
